Reverend Kim Reives
Rev. Reives has searched the scriptures and found that many are called but few are chosen {Matthew 22:14}. Rev. Reives answered her call to preach and was licensed in 1999 and ordained in 2003 under the Pastoral Care of the late Reverend Joseph Duke, Pastor Emeriti of Outreach Missionary Baptist, Inc. Greensboro, North Carolina. She has served in ministry for 19 years.
Rev. Kim served as volunteer Chaplain at Barber-Scotia College in Concord, NC, Chaplain of the National Alumni Association of Barber-Scotia College, as Supply Pastor for the Empire Circuit of the United Methodist Church in Randolph County, and as an Associate Minister at Berean Baptist Church, Raleigh NC. Recently she was invited to serve as Founding Pastor of the Amazing Joy Worship Center in Pretoria, South Africa; she will lead the mission beginning in 2019.
Rev. Kim is a native of Randleman, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Barber Scotia College with a B.S. Degree in Education , and she also received a Masters Degree in Divinity from Hood Theological Seminary. She retired from Guilford County Schools after 30 years of service.
As a Servant Leader, she ministers in the spirit of the motto of her Alma Mater-For Head, Heart, and Hand and through the words of the late, great Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune in which she ended her Last Will and Testament with the words “I leave you Love; love builds. It is positive and helpful. It is more beneficial than hate.”
Her favorite scripture to date is Romans 8:31……”if God be for us, who can be against us?”
